Welcome to ClickerNo
The Anti-Clicker
Game Jam

We're flipping idle on its head. This is where designers are invited to build "clicker" games without clicks, upgrades, currencies, or loops.
The challenge: keep the essence, remove the mechanics. What remains? Let's find out.
A digital archive of what happens when you say no to everything the genre expects.

What Is a Reverse Game Jam?
Click Less. Think More.
In a Reverse Game Jam, you're not just creating something — you're unmaking it.
Here, we dare devs to build games with:
You may build something unplayable. That's part of the art.
Jam Challenge Themes
Themes from Past Rounds**
Explore previous jam themes that challenged assumptions:
"Zero Currency"
What if you couldn't collect anything?
"No Input"
Games that play themselves — or never begin.
"Progress = Regression"
The more you act, the worse it gets.
"Earn Nothing"
Actions without outcomes.
"Reverse Loop"
Each click destroys your previous upgrade.
Submission Board
Submit Your Reverse Clicker
Have you built a game that would make traditional idle players scream? We’d love to archive it.
- Game files (browser or download)
- Devlog writeups
- Screenshots and fake patch notes
- Explanation of your anti-mechanics
- Accepted games are featured in the public archive and community voting.

Don’t-Do List
The Hall of Forbidden Patterns
ClickerNo is governed by the “Don’t-Do List” – a running log of forbidden (and overused) mechanics in clicker games.
Currency tied to time
Exponential multipliers
UI progress bars
Idle rewards after closing the tab
Prestige trees with no narrative consequence
This community-curated list includes:
All jam entries must avoid these patterns. Breaking one must be justified creatively.

Reverse Devlog Highlights
Build Diaries from the Edge of Sanity
Some developers choose to document their struggle. We highlight the best quotes:
“I built an idle game with no actions and no UI. It’s art.”
“My game starts only when the user deletes it.”
“It gives you coins, but you can’t spend them. Ever.”

About ClickerNo
Why We Exist
ClickerNo is a space for contradiction.
We love clicker games — and that's why we dissect them.
Part satire, part challenge, part design experiment — our platform was born out of boredom, recursion, and a need to ask: "What if this genre had no mechanics left at all?"
We exist for:
- Systems thinkers
- UI rebels
- Indie devs who love breaking their own rules
Rules Summary:
- 72-hour jam
- Solo or team
- Any engine or format
- Must subvert at least 3 classic clicker mechanics
- Bonus if the game contains zero numerical UI
